چکیده

Abstract Quantum metrology requires a stable single-photon emission and high purity. Since nitrogen-vacancy (NV-) centers provide both features at room temperature, they are promising candidates for the application in this field [1, 2]. The knowledge about suitable sample preparation technique is crucial, because quality of strongly depends on purity spatial resolvability emitters. This work presents comparison optimization various fabrication techniques nitrogen vacancy center doped nanodiamonds standard cover glasses. followed by comparative characterization samples. includes removal contaminants glass surface. was carried out using peroxymonosulfuric acid (piranha solution, H 2 SO 5 ) to commercially available lye Hellmanex III (by Hellma Analytics). After cleaning glasses, volumes nanodiamond dilutions were applied via spin coating. In subsequent steps, themselves cleaned with acid, too, remove resulting from manufacturing process, e.g. graphite. samples analyzed confocal laser scanning microscope an oil immersion objective. Single-photon determined measuring second order correlation function Hanbury Brown Twiss setup. Spectral analysis revealed presence NV ? - NV°-centers. It shown that cleansing method has immense impact emission, as proven differently manufactured nanodiamonds.

STED imaging of green fluorescent nanodiamonds containing nitrogen-vacancy-nitrogen centers.

We report Stimulated Emission Depletion (STED) imaging of green fluorescent nanodiamonds containing Nitrogen-acancy-Nitrogen (NVN) centers with a resolution of 70 nm using a commercial microscope. Nanodiamonds have been demonstrated to have the potential to be excellent cellular biomarkers thanks to their low toxicity and nonbleaching fluorescence, and are especially appealing for superresoluti...

Electron spin resonance of nitrogen-vacancy centers in optically trapped nanodiamonds.

Using an optical tweezers apparatus, we demonstrate three-dimensional control of nanodiamonds in solution with simultaneous readout of ground-state electron-spin resonance (ESR) transitions in an ensemble of diamond nitrogen-vacancy color centers. Despite the motion and random orientation of nitrogen-vacancy centers suspended in the optical trap, we observe distinct peaks in the measured ESR sp...

Enhancement of single–photon emission from nitrogen–vacancy centers with TiN/(Al,Sc)N hyperbolic metamaterial

P A P ER Abstract The broadband enhancement of single–photon emission from nitrogen-vacancy centers in nanodiamonds coupled to a planar multilayer metamaterial with hyperbolic dispersion is studied experimentally. The metamaterial is fabricated as an epitaxial metal/dielectric superlattice consisting of CMOS-compatible ceramics: titanium nitride (TiN) and aluminum scandium nitride (AlxSc1-xN). ...

Efficiency of Cathodoluminescence Emission by Nitrogen-Vacancy Color Centers in Nanodiamonds.

Correlated electron microscopy and cathodoluminescence (CL) imaging using functionalized nanoparticles is a promising nanoscale probe of biological structure and function. Nanodiamonds (NDs) that contain CL-emitting color centers are particularly well suited for such applications. The intensity of CL emission from NDs is determined by a combination of factors, including particle size, density o...
